Beary Patch Preschool Program

Jonah had his preschool program last Sunday....during prime naptime at 2 p.m. We were a little concerned about the timing for Benjamin. It turns out we were focusing on the wrong child.

Here are all of the students in the Kinder 3 and 4 classes. Jonah is at the end of the second row on the right side.

Two Little Blackbirds - this song was early on the program. Jonah is still focused. :-)

In the video below we are about 20 minutes into the program. The kids are singing "Apples and Bananas" in all the various vowel sounds. Mark and I are wishing there were only 2 vowels in the English language, thus 2 verses....unfortunately that is not the case. And Uncle Dave - rest assured that Jonah has not forgotten the "Rock Star" gestures you were so kind to teach him last summer.

Updates - more to come

Sorry - mass updates coming here. April has been crazy - Yesterday I turned in the final project for a class I'm taking and taught my last class at Luther. Life is returning to normal. I can't get any more pictures to load up tonight- must be too many people on blogspot?!? So more to come tomorrow - including Jonah's preschool program which was on Sunday. He was a piece of work that day - Just you wait...:-)

Another Udstuen Injury

Benjamin took at tumble a few weeks ago and hit his mouth. I've had many requests to post a few pictures - but consider yourself forewarned because he looked pretty miserable the first few days. One front tooth went in, the other out and sideways - not pretty. The good news is the dentist gave him the thumbs up after our appointment last week. The teeth stayed in and have straightened themselves out for the most part. We were pretty sure Ben was ok by day 2 when he insisted on eating potato chips. He was an incredible trooper through it all.

Day 1

Day 2 (trying to smile for the camera)

Day 3

Cancun

At the beginning of April (right after another snowstorm) Mark and I went with our friends Shannon and Bill to Cancun. It was simply awesome. My parents took the boys - who I believe had an equally awesome time. We barely left the resort - content to just sleep, eat, and read all day long. Heavenly!

Some pictures of our resort - since that's about all we saw!

Mark ordered a Strawberry Banana Daquiri - when they brought him two - one strawberry, one banana - he had to get creative!

Overheard lately...

Jonah: "Dad, can I listen to some more Lenny Krabs, I mean Krabbitz?"

Benjamin: "Where the hell is blankey?" (Ahem, Dad!)

Jonah: "Mr. Cab Driver....Mr. Cab Driver...Mr. Cab Driver...." (More Lenny Kravitz)

Benjamin: "JO - NAH, MY TURN!"

Jonah: "Mom, I don't like Barbie people. They are weird; they have weird lips."

Benjamin (after I left the room at bedtime): "Night Night Blankey, Night Night Elmo. Sleep Tight."

Jonah (during the preschool carpool): "Hey Reid, do you like Lenny Krabbitz? It is GOOD!"
