The First Day of School

Jonah started preschool again on Monday. This year he is in the 4 year old class which meets in the a.m. We didn't think he seemed overly excited when we put him to bed at 8:30 on Sunday evening. But we clearly underestimated him. He came out every half hour to check on things, to see if his backpack was ready, if it was his day for show and tell, if it was time to go yet...exhaustion finally set in at 10:45 - at least that was the last we heard from him.

On our way to school the next morning he seemed to have a change of heart. He thought maybe we could just drop off his papers for his teacher and then he could go to Amy's house with Benjamin. Experience and wisdom had taught me to say, "Sure". And I wasn't too surprised when he ran into school, gave his teachers huge hugs..and was off to the computer center. He had a great first day!

Benjamin need to bring his "packpack" too. One more year Benjamin! :-)

This is honestly how I found Jonah when I came outside! Priceless!
